BOGUS OFFICIALS IN THE AREA

Dear All,

There has been a recent incident where a bogus official has attended an address in Alkrington and defrauded the elderly

occupant of hundreds of pounds.

Several Males pretending to be from a gardening company did minimal work in a back garden and asked for a considerable amount of money to be given.

Female victim was under the impression that the males who attended her address were genuine, but they were not.

Can I please ask every one to remain vigilant and not open there doors to cold callers.

Please do not hand over large amount of cash to criminals or keep a lot of money in the home address.

Please do source your trade person first if requiring a job, either through family, close friends or Trusted Traders web site.

Speak to family members first for advice and do not give your bank details to strangers.  

Can you all please report any thing suspicious to the Police, Criminal activity will not be tolerated.

If you have a ring Door Bell/CCTV and good bright lighting around your home , please make sure adequate security 

measures are in place to deter a crime from taking place.
